Daniel Eames of Boxford, Mass. was one of the accused Salem witches of the 1690s. He was the son of Rebecca Blake Eames, who was condemned as a witch on Sep. 17, 1692, but released on Mar. 1693. Daniel Eames was condemned in early Aug. 1692 and questioned in Salem on Aug. 13, 1692. Daniel's petition is to Sir William Phipps, the royal governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony (1692-1694). Apparently he was later released. Daniel married Lydia Wheeler (b. 1662) in 1683 and died sometime after 1700. The petition to Sir William asks that Eames be released so he might provide for his wife and six children.
